Honoring History: Hanke Brothers' Contribution to the B-17 Memorial Park in Sheridan, Ar

At Hanke Brothers, we believe in more than just improving homes—we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. That’s why we were honored to play a part in the creation of the B-17 Memorial Park in Sheridan, AR, a site dedicated to preserving the memory of the crew members who lost their lives when a B-17 bomber tragically crashed nearby during World War II.

In 2015, Hanke Brothers donated all of the soffit, fascia, and gutters for the memorial’s front entrance. While gutters and siding may seem like small details compared to the monument itself, we understood the importance of building a space that would endure for generations. By ensuring the structure is protected from the elements, we were able to help create a lasting tribute that the community can be proud of.

The B-17 Memorial Park stands as a place of reflection, remembrance, and education. Families, veterans, and visitors from across the state come to honor the sacrifice of the crew and learn about this important piece of Arkansas history. For us, being part of that legacy is deeply meaningful.
